celebrating our journey of stability with you

We are thrilled to share that we have met and exceeded our $10.7 million Journey of Stability, Forward Together campaign goal!

Thank you for putting a roof over our heads that will last the next 100 years.
Thank you for providing heating and cooling to ensure the monks’ humble comforts for the next 50 years.
Thank you for fully funding our endowment so that monks can age out of ministry with security, health, and continued activity in the monastic family.
And thank you for putting us in a position to uplift our praise of God in profoundly beautiful and reverent ways.

With your incredible generosity, we are now poised to pay for all of our capital projects with nearly $1 million
available for contingencies and future needs. But you can still help!

the challenge: secure 100 new donors

To grow this contingency fund even further, a generous donor has offered a special participation challenge. For the next 100 new donors to the campaign, this family will contribute $4,000 per donor—up to $400,000 total!

February 15 Update: We are halfway there!

Help us close the gap contribute today!

how will additional funds be used?

The contingency fund is critical to ensuring the success of our projects, and any funds beyond unexpected needs will be used to address one of the Abbey’s long-term needs: the replacement of our beloved organ. Read on to learn how your support will help.

Preparedness for Our Main Projects

With major capital improvements underway, including replacing the roof and upgrading the HVAC system, the contingency fund will allow us to:

  • Prepare for unexpected costs such as supply chain delays, weather interruptions, or human error.

  • Address architectural features and systems that can be improved alongside the roof and HVAC as work progresses.

  • Take advantage of opportunities for material upgrades or design enhancements that would otherwise not be feasible.

Having a robust campaign surplus ensures these critical projects are completed successfully, safeguarding the Abbey’s future.

Replacing and Enhancing the Abbey’s Organ

The monks are in serious need of a new organ for the Abbey Church. While the organ project was tested during the campaign’s planning phase, the urgency of other capital needs led us to delay it. With adequate assets in our contingency fund, we can prepare for the future of this project as well.

Replacing the organ is essential for two reasons:

  1. Elevating our worship and liturgies. A new organ will enrich the monks’ daily prayer and make the Abbey a spiritual harbor for those who join our services locally or from across the country.

  2. Forming future leaders in music ministry. Students from Benedictine College spend countless hours practicing on the organ, preparing to lead worship in parishes and other faith communities nationwide. An upgraded instrument will better equip these students to help renew the Catholic Church’s liturgical and devotional life.

The unused surplus in our contingency fund, as well as contributions specifically designated for the organ, will help bring this vision to life, ensuring that the Abbey continues to inspire through prayer, music, and beauty.
